Minister approves swine flu preparations in private schools
The Minister of Education, Dr. Moudhi Al-Humoud, recently made unscheduled visits to several private schools in the Farwaniya educational directorate to take a closer look at the preparations put in place in them to combat the threat of the spread of swine flu. She said afterwards that the steps taken there had ensured that everything had gone smoothly since the start of the school year, calling on the educational staff to carry on performing their teaching duties.
During her visit, the minister inspected the schools' medical clinics' preparations, in addition to their provision of sanitizers and other protective materials, demonstrating her satisfaction with the procedures adopted, reported Al-Qabas.
Meanwhile, Fahad Al-Ghais, the Deputy Assistant Minister for Private Education, who accompanied the minister on her tour, revealed that several schools have received warnings after their preparations were found to be unsatisfactory, and were reminded of the importance of acting promptly s to take similar measures to those adopted by public schools in order to protect students and teachers from the threat of infection. He revealed that special teams are visiting private schools on a daily basis in order to
assess the protective measures in place, reporting directly to the education ministry on their findings.
