New timings for Kuwaiti banks

Kuwait Banking Association (KBA) said here on Monday that the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) has approved the request of local banks to change their working hours in their branches to a one-shift system to take effect as of next September 27.

The KBA said in a press statement that the new system aims to maintain the national cadres working in the banking sector and take into account their social circumstances, in addition to providing better services to clients.

The statement added that some branches would continue using the two-shift system including those operating in the commercial and industrial Shuwaikh areas.

The working hours of the main centers of the Kuwaiti banks would operate from 8:30 am till 1:30 pm, while the branches would open from 8:30 am till 3: 30 pm.
