Welcome to Kuwait

Hello Abhishek, It good to see more people are coming down to Kuwait.

Regarding the cost of living in Kuwait one can have a moderate living with a salary of KD 500.
Just to clarify, is the health insurance is in addition to the government health card? In Kuwait government issues health card for all the residents and the cost of the health card for the family members is normally taken by the employee not the employer. This card is useful only with the government clinics / hospitals. If you want to get treatment from private clinics, you will have to pay or have the insurance. If this insurance is what is covered, it is good. Check out the post on Obtaining a Family Visa in Kuwait

Please check the post on Getting a kuwait driving license and make sure you fall under the eligibility criteria for getting the driving license.

You might not be able to save much if you are going for car rental and furnished apartment as it can cost around 70kd / month for car rental and 250KD /month minimum for furnished apartment, which you might not want to look for.

Government Insurance costs 40 + 30 KD and an additional (optional) private insurance cost around 100 KD a year

Home expenses might not go beyond 50-60KD, not considering the baby products
