Things you should ensure prior to the birth of the baby

In order to obtain your baby's Kuwait birth certificate and to have your baby's passport stamped with a residence visa, you should produce your original marriage certificate attested by the corresponding ministry in your country or the country where the marriage has taken place. Marriage Affidavit issued by your embassy in Kuwait is also acceptable.

This needs to be attested at the embassy of your country in Kuwait as well. Then you will need to translate this certificate into Arabic and it requires to be be certified by and finally by Ministry of Justice Kuwait. Then the documents to be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait for further certification

As this take time, you will need to get this ready even before the delivery of the baby in Kuwait

Residency

Hi I am a single mother with a child dependent on me here in kuwait, I need to change my sir name in my passport to my birth certificate surname for which I am allowed by the Indian embassy in kuwait, can you please tell me if I do that, will it be any problem to my childs visa, which is having my current name from my passport, or have I to change the name in his visa and civil ID also before even it is expires or can I have it changed during the time of expiry of the childs  visa?

Has he got a visa now? if

Has he got a visa now? if yes, is it already stamped?

Will my child's visa get effected if my name changed in my paspt

I think I was not clear with my question, let me explain
My child is in kuwait schooling, and he is dependent on me, I am a single mother,I am carrying a surname of my ex husband on my passport which needs to be changed into my former (fathers surname)surname, so my question is whether I will have any problem for my child, because my childs visa is carrying my unchanged name, if I have to change my name as on my passport, on my childs visa,it should be before visa expiry or after visa expiry of my child I should do this name change on his visa?

You might need additional documents...

I am not sure how it is going to effect the visa.

A divorced woman or widow can sponsor a child and such applications may need to accompany with an affidavit from the father of the children, on court papers, attested by a court and the Foreign Ministry in your country saying that you can take the children out of the country.

So if your child is under your sponsorship, you might have already completed these things; however, it would be better to get legal opinion before you make the changes...

If you are an Indian, go to the embassy for a guidance.

Lost Birt Certificates of Children

Hi! I am an expat living in Kuwait for more than 15 years now. I have 4 children, all of whom are born here in Kuwait. Just recently, I found out that I have misplaced my 3 childrens' birth certificates and I am really not sure how and where. My question is: what is the procedure for getting fresh copies of their birth certificates? what are the requirements, where do I go and how much will it cost me for 3 birth certificates? Looking forward for an immediate answer. Many thanks!

Husband lost birth certificate / Indian Embassy birth certificat

My husband was born in Kuwait in 1963, however, his kuwait birth certificate has been lost. How do we obtain a fresh birth certificate from kuwait government. Whatif they cannot find the records? Also, there is an embassy stamp on his mothers passport that he was born in kuwait since he did not have a separate passport at the time, possibly a copy of his kuwait birth certificate or his hospital record was submitted at the embassy. How can we request the indian embassy for those copies. Appreciate your help as we are in desperate need to get a birth certificate from kuwait. Thanks

American mission hospital records

Further to my previous post, my husband was born at the American Mission hospital in Kuwait in 1963. We are trying to trace where the medical records are now kept since the hospital has been closed down. Pls help.

I had a friend with a similar

I had a friend with a similar issue, however if you need his birth certificate, all you need to do is go the the Ministry of Births and Deaths in Maidan Hawally, give them your civil ID number and/or copy of your civil ID and they will have the records for sure, they will print another birth card for you..
