Last weekend I have visited a friend of mine and saw the ceiling of his new apartment is cut and affixed with the water sprinkler. Since he is into the safety products business, I initially thought that he set up for own reasons. However, I asked about it and he replied that it is set up by the building owner to meet the instructions from the Ahmedi governerate.
When I reached home after work on last Monday, I noticed that the chairs kept corridors are taken away. Harris of the building told me the same story, which is an instruction from the Hawally governarate.
It seems the government is mandating the apartment owners to install the fire suppression system to ensure that the life threat due to fire can be avoided. This seems to be an after effect of the dajeej fire incident which took some human lives including a child.
Anyways, it is better for the people
