What are the formalities required for inviting a family friend [whos not a blood relative] on visitor visas from india? are the rules different if its a girl?
i am told that recently, with change of rules it is tough to invite family friends (who arent blood relatives ) to visit kuwait for a short holiday... is that so? is there any alternate procedure to apply for their visitor visas? how long does the visas process take?

Yes, it is difficult to get
Yes, it is difficult to get visit visas for visitors other than family members that too first degree members. The best way to get your family friend to Kuwait is thru some tourist visa, which is always allowed to hotels. You might need to get this thru some hotels in Kuwait. Otherwise you can directly approach to see if they give tourist visas.

Not sure what is the process. But definitely you will have to stay there. speak to one or two hotels and see how it works for you.
