Residence visa has exipired without cancellation, can one come back?

bijukuwait's picture

A friend of mine used to have a residence visa in Kuwait for about three years back. He left Kuwait without canceling the visa and that is expired due to the six months clause. Presently he is out of Kuwait and would like to visit to Kuwait on a shot trip. Is it possible for him to get him a visit visa or whether his application will be denied as he has not canceled the residence formally?

I think it is possible if your friend can get a visit visa. But for sure he cannot visit Kuwait on the expired residence visa. Be warned, if he has any cases against him, he might get stopped at the immigration counter. May be he should check the cases against him, you can find some references http://www.kuwaitstay.com/discussions/checking-legal-cases-filed-kuwait

The other company might have cancelled your residency from the shoon. Thi might not have happend only in two cases.
1. you screwed the company before leaving and there is a pending legal action against you.
2. the company just want to make your life miserable and doesnot want you to comeback to kuwait for whatever reasons.

If these both cases are not applicable for you, you definitly are going to get the Visa.
